Privacy policy

Mela is a game for Android phones, made by Gourhit Ventures Private Limited ("Gourhit Ventures", "we", "us") and published on Google Play under our developer name, A3K.com. This policy says what the Mela app does with your data. In short: nothing leaves your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. Mela has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and the app has no internet access. It never sends anything to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your phone
Your settings, your best times, your daily runs and your streak. To let you resume a daily run, the app also keeps a record of how you tilted the board in it.
- All of this is stored only on your phone, in the app's own storage.
- Mela turns off Android's backup, so none of it is copied to your Google account or to a new phone.
- It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Motion sensor
While you play by tilting, the app reads your phone's motion sensor to move the board. The readings are used in the moment. Only the record of a daily run's tilts is kept, on your phone, as above.
Permissions
Mela asks for one permission: to vibrate on hard knocks and a win. Android grants it without asking you, and you can turn vibration off in the app's settings.
Sharing
When you tap Share, the app gives your phone's share sheet a few lines of text: the toy's name, the board number and date, your time and goli count, your streak, and a link to Mela in the store. You choose where they go, and we never see them. If the share sheet won't open, the app copies the same text for you to paste.
Crash reports
The app contains no crash reporting. If you have allowed your phone to share usage and diagnostics with Google, Google Play may give us anonymous crash and performance statistics (Android vitals) under Google's privacy policy.
Children
Mela collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 lets you ask what personal data is held about you, and have it corrected or erased. Mela holds none: what it keeps is on your phone, and you can erase it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. If you write to us, we use what you send only to reply to you.
Grievances
Write to support@gourhit.com with "Grievance" in the subject, or by post to the address below.
Changes
If a future version of the app changes what it collects, we will update this policy, and its date, before that version is released.
Language
This policy is also in Hindi. If the two differ, the English version applies.
